We spent 14 marvellous days at this very special place and enjoyed a really overwhelming breakfast with all kinds of fruits and vegetables and other products out of Filaretos\u2018 garden and the surroundings. We swam in the seas on both sides of the peninsula and we climbed the mountains between them, always with a taste of Mariannas\u2019 and Filaretos\u2019 handmade delicacies; sometimes having some of them with us for a picnic. Thanks to them ! A highly recommendable place!<\/p>\n

Fit for a fairytale, Amanita is the stuff that dreams are made of. Pristinely clean and cared for, the passion Filaretos and his family embody cannot but touch your heart. There is a peace and serenity at Amanita that one cannot quite pinpoint the origin of – is it the exquisitely tended garden with its herbs, or the stillness of the stone building, or is it from its people who simply appear to be keepers of life\u2019s secret to happiness in all its glorious simplicity? Whatever the origin, there is a feeling of exclusivity at Amanita that is renewed every day in a different way: a breakfast that is so much more, a paper map being unfolded over a wooden table in order to guide you to secluded beaches, a mattress that even a Princess would not feel a pea beneath. This is a place where one feels that they are in the hands of a Friend of Good, try it and you\u2019ll understand all the 5 star ratings!<\/p>\n

If you are looking for a guesthouse that will satisfy all of your senses, then this is where you will want to stay! A culinary tsunami every breakfast and dinner, with fresh ingredients from the organic garden, local woods, and neighboring farms. The rooms are so clean, beautifully appointed, and the surrounding countryside affords stunning views of the mountains and Aegean sea. The owners are friendly, helpful, and quite comfortable to be around. Prices excellent, atmosphere informal and gracious, and it’s not far from the beaches.<\/p>\n

We came to Amanita after a few days in Zagori and Meteora. We experienced all kind of hotels and guest houses, some were good some less but Amanita was by far the best place we visited and actually one of the best hotels we visited ever. It states with location in very nice place in the mountains of Pelion, continues with wonderful rooms where a thought was given to every detail. Breakfast is certainly one of the highlights and most of all the very nice owners and especially Fileretus who was always open and friendly and gave us very good advise.<\/p>\n
