Η γενικότερη ονομασία της περιοχής για τα μανιτάρια είναι «μαν’τάρες». Αυτά που δεν τρώγονται αποκαλούνται «παλαβά» ή «παλαβομανίταρα».
Από αυτά που τρώγονται ξεχωριστή αγάπη υπάρχει για τα :
«νερατζάκια» ή «κουκ’νομανίταρα» (Amanita ceasarea)
«καλουέρες» ή «καλογεράκια» (Boletus edulis)
«βασίλες» (Boletus aureus)
«Γουργουλιάνες» (Lepiota procera)
Και την Άνοιξη για τα δυσεύρετα «Αρτσιβούρτσια» (morchella)
